Time Line

 

• Complete scholarship applications are due August 31, 2024 by 12:00 (midnight) EST and emailed to one of the following: amcdowelljspsf@gmail.com; jspsf1945@gmail.com; or dbrooksjspsf@gmail.com. Send with return receipt.  An email reply will be sent to applicants to verify that the application was received.

• Award notifications will be sent by email by October 1, 2024.

• Scholarship recipients will receive their 2nd scholarship awards only after their grades from the previous semester have been received by December 31, 2024.

 APPLICATION SUBMITTALS

 

 

 

• ALL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS MUST PROVIDE:

• A completed and signed Jeannette Strong Phillips Scholarship application.

• Proof of residence in the State of Maryland, North Carolina, or Virginia.

• Official high school or college transcript in a sealed envelope from the institution.

• Two academic letters of references (e.g., from a guidance counselor, teacher, school administrator or professor).

• A letter of support from an employer or other community member.

• Proof of acceptance and enrollment at an academic, community college or university for the academic year for which the applicant is applying.

• Demonstrated financial need.
